It feels strange to finally type these words, but it’s true, our little 1960s brick cottage has sold, and we have moved to a new home in the country!

This sweet little house was the backdrop of so many wonderful stories. We painted walls, hung wallpaper, remodeled our first kitchen, discovered antiques, and shared our journey with you from the very beginning.
After years of sharing cottage style decorating and DIY transformations inside our suburban home, we are excited to infuse the same English country house style in our new home in the countryside. On five quiet acres of beautiful pasture and woods sits a simple brick country home full of potential.

Here is the property at sunrise. For a long time, we dreamed of finding a place where we could slow down, and create more of a handmade, homestead lifestyle. We loved our old home with all the projects, and stories we created there, but something in us was longing for a little more space to grow.

When we found this property, with gorgeous tall trees, an open pasture and woods, it felt like a place where we could put down roots.

Sunset. The peaceful evenings, gorgeous sunsets, and the twinkling stars at night have been refreshing.

The House and Land
Our cozy new house has good bones and already feels familiar. In time, we will be adding the layers of English country style I have come to adore. The house itself feels like a blank canvas just waiting for layers of warmth and character. Inside, we see endless opportunities, rooms to rearrange, paint and wallpaper to add, and cozy nooks to decorate in a homey country house style. Outside, there is a nice covered porch, a horse barn, and plenty of space for vegetable gardens, an English cottage garden, animals, and new projects. We will be taking you along as we tackle one project at a time, painting, planting, building, remodeling, and slowly infusing this land and home with the charm and soul of an English country house.

What’s Next for Stone Cottage Home
If you have followed us for a while, you know our heart has always been in creating a home that feels collected, personal, and full of life. Now, in addition to decorating in the cottage style we have the possibilities to create a cottage homestead lifestyle! We are dreaming of chickens, a vegetable and kitchen herb garden out back, an English cottage flower garden, and maybe even a few cows grazing in the pasture. There will be learning curves, muddy boots and beautiful moments, and we plan to share it all with you!

We are already listing (and tackling) DIY and decorating projects. We will be exploring how to create a home that is both beautiful and functional, one that serves our family and friends

We gratefully look back on the little brick home that started it all and are thrilled to have handed it over to it’s new owner, the sweet Miss Jada. She fell in love with the house and we couldn’t be happier to have her caring for it. She also loves thrifting, scoring treasures on MP, and browsing antique stores.

Please welcome and support her as she begins her interior design journey. Her Instagram is JadadawnOO. She is a delight and we look forward to getting to know one another better in the days ahead.

Join Us in This New Chapter
We don’t take this move, or this moment, for granted. For years now, many of you have shown up to read, watch, comment, and quietly cheer us on. Your encouragement has mattered. It kept us going through long renovation days, tough decisions, and the slow parts in between. Thank you for walking with us, not just when things were pretty, but when they were in process. That means more than we can say. We’re excited to build this place, piece by piece, season by season, and we’re honored to have you come along! Welcome home. The adventure starts here.
Until next time, take care,
Rachel
